Geocaching in Haderslev

The treasure hunt continues...

Treasure hunting with GPS – geocaching – is a way for the whole family to play and a fantastic way to learn about the nature, culture, history and geography of Haderslev and its surroundings.

You find your way to the treasures by the help of a GPS, a list of the locations of the treasures, names and coordinates and appropriate clothes. The treasures are plastic boxes with information about the place, various little things and a log in which you can write comments and greetings. If you would like to make other people happy when they find the treasures, you can take one of the little things you find in the box with you and put a new one there instead.

You can find treasures and coordinates on this page, and they are registered also on www.geocaching.com, where geocachers from all over Denmark – and all over the world – can find them. The principle is this: If you are a geocacher, you keep an eye on new treasures on the Internet, find them as quickly as possible and write your story on the website. In this way we have the knowledge of Haderslev and our special history spread all over the world.

REMEMBER! You can check the current status of the cache on www.geocaching.com
